Memorable Moments in Movie Car History

Photo copyright ViewImages.com We all have our favorite movies with cars; Bond, Batman, Starsky & Hutch, Dukes of Hazzard and the list goes on. We took a small nap (we get tired easily), and in doing so chose a few moments from movies with cars we thought should be shared.

Keaton and his Batmobile

Ah yes, the most famous Batmobile of them all.. and if not in my opinion the best Batmobile. Based on a Corvette chassis and it’s fiberglass exterior this Batmobile was simply BAD-ASS. Check the seat Batman I think Vicki had an accident…

Two Chicks, One Countach

Growing up I was fascinated by the opening sequence of Cannonball Run and used to rewind and play it constantly listening to the brute sound of the Countach’s 420hp V12 going through the gears, let alone two hot chicks in skin tight suits were driving it.

Bond’s Amphibious Esprit

Bond and his many gadgets. The Esprit was a cool car and one that can turn into a sub-marine? even cooler!

Eleanor Chase

This movie sparked Eleanor replicas from every which way. Good chase and a cool car. I do believe Nicholas Cage did most of the driving as well, I could be wrong.

McQueen’s Le Mans

Brilliant movie and a true auto racing classic.

Big Willy’s Big Chase

It has to be up there on the great car chase list. Bad Boys 2 was a great movie and Will Smith’s character trading his Porsche 911 from the first movie for a Ferrari 550 Maranello in the second is a good choice.
