After a very dismal 2007 season Honda F1 has launched their 2008 contender which has numerous changes over it’s predecessor. Though the team has already showed off the new RA108 in testing the main purpose of this launch was to show off it’s new livery.
Last year there was a lot of discussion on Honda’s move with the “Earth Car”. A livery comprised of a satellite shot of the Earth. This year in 2008 Honda said it was not going to be using the Earth Car livery and was going in “another direction”. Well Honda fans i’m sorry to say that you will be disappointed once again.
Sporting it’s new “Tree-Hugger” appearance the RA108 covered in the words “Earthdreams” is according to Honda “a unique global positive marketing programme whose message will be carried by the RA108 race cars and supported through all aspects of the Honda Racing F1 Team.”
All we know is we respect the avenue Honda has taken but think the graphic design team should be fired.
