Everyone has to own one period. They come in all shapes and forms from InDash units to hand-held and you can even get them on your Palm Pilot or Treo like devices. They are now starting to come down in cost and you can get a real nice unit for around $200. I know, what would you ever need one for. If you do any sort of travelling even within your own city these little systems come in very handy when you need to find a house or a business and not be looking at directions while trying to drive.
Rescue Kits
You never know when you will need some of these items. Say for example sub-zero temperatures on a dark night and your car won’t start or run at all. Sometimes the auto clubs take quite a bit to get to your location. Put out the hazard sign and use the blanket to keep warm. These are also good investments for truck owners who love to go offroad, you may never know when you are going to get stuck and you should go prepared.
